WHAT IS A CSA?
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a partnership between the farm and it’s local supporters. Each member makes a commitment to support the farm throughout the season, sharing the costs and the risks of farming, via a CSA subscription. This provides the farmer with a secure market and gives the shareholder the satisfaction of enjoying a weekly bounty of fresh, wholesome produce only hours from the field and knowing where their food is coming from. The partnership in turn, allows us to grow a wide variety of produce at competitive prices. By committing to a share, you are directly supporting a local farm dedicated to providing your community with fresh, healthy food for you and your family.
HOW IT WORKS
CSA members receive a generous, seasonal assortment of great tasting produce each week for approximately 16 weeks, from mid-June to late September – with a bonus week if there is no freeze. We grow over a hundred varieties of fruit, vegetables, and herbs, and what members receive in any given week depends on the time of season and the weather. We guarantee that it’s fresh – usually picked within hours of distribution – and USDA Certified Organic. As a bonus, our members also receive one of our beautiful hanging baskets or a selection of our organic herb plants early in the season!
Memberships are $495.00 per share, which works out to a little over $30.00 per week for the 16 week season. It is a great value, as members receive an average of $45.00 in produce in the weekly deliveries. Payment is due in full before the season begins. Harvest Boxes can be picked up each week at the farm, or at one of our nine convenient farmers’ market or neighborhood locations on the Western Slope in Aspen, Carbondale, Crested Butte, Gunnison, Edwards, Grand Junction, Montrose, Ridgway and Telluride.
